Scent Work Workshop- Presented by Megan Esherick of The Clever Hound Dog Training

Megan Esherick CPDT-KA founded the Clever Hound LLC in 2016 after working in the assistance dog industry for 18 years. Megan has a wide variety of scent related experience, including medical alert dogs, tracking, PBGV hunt tests, barn hunt, and scent work. Her PBGV Wally was the first dog of his breed to earn the AKC Scent Work Master title. Megan enjoys working with a wide variety of dogs and helping each dog and handler team work to the best of their ability.

9 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Beginner Dogs

• This session is for dogs who have already started training in scent work and are familiar with Birch & Anise scents. Focus will be on training a consistent final response, keeping dogs at the source and elevation.

1 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Advanced Dogs

• This seminar is for dogs who have already started trialing in scent work and are familiar with Birch, Anise and Clove. Focus will be on inaccessible, difficult unknow number of hides.
  Cost: $60 per session for a working spot.
