About Lou Ann Isenberg
Lou Ann grew up showing horses and never thought about showing dogs until she got a Rhodesian Ridgeback. The breeder asked her if she would try to show her and soon she was hooked! Who knew that competitive bug was still in her blood? Fast forward to the present time and Lou Ann still loves to show. She enjoys the challenge of working with different breeds and learning as much as she can about dogs. She has been successful at all levels of handling in many breeds including:
- Rhodesian Ridgebacks
- Border Terriers
- Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs
- Belgian Malinois
In 2016, Lou Ann handled the winner of the National Belgian Malinois Speciality Show and received an Award of Merit at the Westminster Kennel Club Show. She is an active member of the Harrisburg Kennel Club and competes in the breed ring on most weekends. She is a purist at heart and concentrates on making the dog and handler a team.
