About Paula

Paula Goss comes from a competitive horseback riding background that led very easily into dog agility. She has been involved in competitive agility for 25 years, competing at the highest levels in AKC, USDAA and NADAC. She began with her Labrador and currently competes with her border collies as well as with as many “borrowed” dogs as she is fortunate to be asked to run. She has been ranked in NADAC’s Top 10 for the past 20 years, earned more than 50 NATCHs and more than 25 platinum speed star awards, and attended numerous championships, winning her division with her border collie, Split, in 2005 and 2007; with Trae in 2009, 2011 and 2013; and Cade winning at his very first championship in 2015 as well as coming in third with Tess in both 2013 and 2015. Trae and Paula are also one of only a few teams in the country to have earned the prestigious MOD SQUAD award in the NADAC venue for big distance handling. Paula and Kellan, her youngest border collie, are currently trialing in NADAC, AKC and UKI.

Paula works with each team’s strengths and adds step-by-step instructions on how to improve. She provides the handler with clear, consistent tools for teaching distance and efficient handling. Her sense of humor, combined with her analytical skills, make for a fun learning opportunity for any team ready to take their handling to the next level.
