Footwork to Contacts with Susan Salo
- This event has passed.
July 24, 2021 from 8:00 am to July 25, 2021 from 5:00 pm
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see your dog confidently stride around the course safely striding to the contacts? Do you hear your dog hit the contacts before beginning to stride up them? This seminar focuses on all that. The grids teach the dogs to transfer their weight which allows them to drive through the weaves, perform clean jumping skills and stride onto the contacts softly and safely. The working sessions will include footwork to contacts/weaves (A-frame, dogwalk, teeter and weaves). Open to all levels as long as dogs can perform dogwalk, A-frame, Teeter and weaves independently.

About Susan
Susan Salo is returning to the Bella Vista Training Center to share her extensive experience of using grid work to promote efficient jumping and proper footwork to build confidence in both the dogs and the handlers. She offers a unique perspective and knowledge of the mechanical aspects of the dog’s execution of agility obstacles, which when properly applied, can create muscle memory and balance for the canine athlete.
These sessions are limited.
