April 29 – 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Weave entries and start line sequences

This session will work on handling a variety of weave entries and start line sequences. How best
to set your dog up at the start, where to lead out to, etc. Dogs must be proficient on weaves.

April 29 – 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Challenge Yourself

Challenge yourself and your dog to run premier-style sequences and experiment with different
handling techniques to determine which works best in which sequence for your team.

April 30 – 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Running a Fast Dog without running

You don’t have to outrun your dog. Learn techniques for handling when the dog is faster than
the handler.

April 30 – 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Young Dogs

Geared towards young dogs not doing all equipment. Will work on handling sequences using jumps
& tunnels.

May 1 – 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Connection & Commitment

Work on your ability to stayed connected to your dog and recognize & strengthen their
commitment to obstacles/lines.

May 1 – 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Young Dog coursework

Geared to the younger dogs that are working all equipment. Coursework will be at the Nov/Opn
level. Dogs must be working all equipment at full height.

Cost: $115/working spot per session (limit of 8 working teams per session), $45/audit per session

About Katelyn Scott

Katelyn Scott is a OneMind Dogs Coach and Instructor at VIP Dog Sports in South Carolina. Training Dogs and running in the sport of agility for more than 20 years has given her a passion for helping people reach their full potential in the sport. Understanding the whys in training is her focus as she knows the whys are just as important as the how when piecing together your recipe for success. Over her 20 years in the dog world she has trained dogs of all ages and breeds. Currently in her pack are 4 Border collies, 2 Papillons and a Siberian Husky.

All BVTC policies will be in effect.

  • Seminar will be held indoors on in-filled turf in a heated arena.
  • Coffee/tea/hot chocolate will be available. Lunch will not be provided but delivery available from Allen’s Eatery.
